Does any one know of a reliable PRSU for the 20B rotary engine capable of handing up to 500 HP+ /?

Hi Roy,

Been hanging out on the dark side? ;-)

Some of the airboat reductions for V-8s claim to be good for close to 1,000 HP, but I'd tread carefully because they see  4-per-rev torque impulses instead of 2. Significant because it means that *peak* torque will be lower, and they might not be tuned to handle the lower frequency impulses from the rotary (resonance issues).

Having said that, what airframe are you considering? Not many single engine a/c are designed for that much HP. For that matter, I might have to question the reliability of the engine itself if it's being operated at that level.

Charlie
