Well, finally got a look on Facebook at Max’s problem. Max had a fuel leak in one of his transfer pumps, look like it occurred on his flight around the airfield – so not a leak that had dribble for six months. Still enough fuel was lost to make it clear that finding it while still in Greenland was fortuitous.

I don’t have the details and not a facebook subscriber, so some of you may have better information. But, I was informed that Max discovered a fuel leak underneath his aircraft and apparently there is concern about possibly substantial damage to the aircraft’s wooden airframe. So apparently any further activity will await an assessment of this situation.
