Water pump:  Get an electric one.
Alternator: Mount a Harley Davidson generator inline with the output shaft, between the engine and gearbox.

Folks - those of you who are building or have flying samples, what approach was taken to mount alternator and water pump?  Stock Mazda mounts or fabricated your own?  If self fabricated, any pictures would be appreciated.  I've been working to install peripherals on my recently purchased 20B just to get a sense of how big, how hard to assemble, how to maintain, etc.  I'm doing all of this before actually breaking apart the engine and check/change innards as I haven't built up that expertise yet.

Hi Niel.  Seems that most of the problem was that the seals simple were not sealing very well.  After a couple of flights things seemed to improve and I stopped getting significant amounts of combustion gasses into the coolant.  Though me thinks it is time to re-work my cooing system a little so that accumulated gasses end up in the catch can and get blown off first...  should be an easy modification.

I still have a brisk oil drip from somewhere probably several spots...  still trying to identify and fix..

But I'm back in the air and stopped my search for a lyc....  ;-)
