One of the things my friends reminded me of about the plugs up rotary is the fact that there are no flooding problems. The ports in the down position allows the raw fuel to be swept out the ports. (Peripheral ports of course.) For aircraft that makes a lot of sense. I had planned dry sump for mine which makes it easier anyway.
