Hope that's not an issue; I just have the normal multi-V belt driving my Renesis pump.

Luis, congrats on joining the Rotorhead ranks!

I suspect that the mods on the 13B (& 20B) pump are to reduce the height of the [inlet?] line going into the top of the pump, due to cowl clearance issues on tractor a/c. Might not be a problem on a pusher with a tall firewall, but I'd bet you'll still need to cut off that top port on the pump.

The 'other' email list has all sorts of 'if it ain't broke, fix it anyway' ideas, but....

Stock pump works fine for me.  The problem as I recall with the renisis is that the pump turns the oppisite direction to the e-shaft which needs to be addressed in one way or another.  But I think you are fine with the 20B.

Dear Collective,

It is with great joy that I can finally say I am officially a rotary head as of this weekend.  I've purchased a 20B along with PSRU, turbo, injectors, pumps and various other peripherals.  I do have a question which came up during various back and forth communication/negotiations.  It regards the water pump, there was talk of modifying the stock pump but the reasons, method of modification and long term results were a little hard for me to understand.  Can someone from the group shed some light from your experience in this area.
