Kelly,

I've tried the vacuum chamber to dampen the pulses with no improvement, in fact it ran worse than the single source.  Everything I've tried has caused it to run worse than the singe source method.

Yes, it crossed my mind that the p-port welds might have caused some damage to the apex seals, except that they are below the wear surface and the apex seal damage was on the outer edges.  If it had been the p-port welds, the damage would have been toward the center. Tracy "suggested" that it appears to be from FOD.  Not sure where it could have come from, but I would tend to agree.

 Mark,
One other thought about your damaged apex seals..............You did not say what damage looked like but is
there any chance that the P port welding was not ground completely level with the rotor ID or that the weld
could have caused a slight distortion in the surface............Might be worth a detailed inspection of that rotor
housing since it is disassembled................

Mark,
Do you have a large area vacuum chamber in your map plumbing ?.............Perhaps one might reduce the pulses from all three rotors
to a level that will acceptable to the EC-2..................(I know you need more things to fix)...................<:)

Yes, had to open up the bore just a bit and counter-bore one end as the oil injection bolt has a step.  Anyway, I was able to hook up the check valves and wouldn't you know, it ran worse than before.  So, now I have them blocked off and I'm sampling MAP from only one rotor.  For some unknown reason, it runs the best with vacuum sense from only one rotor.

I found damaged apex seals on rotor #1, the one that was cutting out.  So, I had to pull the engine and tear it down.  I sent the apex seals to Tracy to look at and evaluate.  He couldn't say for sure, but thought it must have been from FOD.  I ordered new apex seals and o-rings and will be putting it back together soon.

I also sent the EC-2 to Tracy for checkout and s/w upgrade.  He didn't find anything to account for the symptoms I've been seeing.  He made some mods, upgraded the s/w and it is now on its way back.

Thanks,
Mark
