Everything I've tried has caused it to run worse than the singe source method. Yes, it crossed my mind that the p-port welds might have caused some damage to the apex seals, except that they are below the wear surface and the apex seal damage was on the outer edges. If it had been the p-port welds, the damage would have been toward the center. Tracy "suggested" that it appears to be from FOD. Not sure where it could have come from, but I would tend to agree.
