This was posted on the canardaviation.com forum regarding some V8 engine cooling for aircraft.

 

While some may discount it since it was written by a man who recently passed away due to an aircraft crash, I don't think cooling had anything to do with Bud's crash. 

 

Just some data points for discussion. PLEASE if you know some stuff that is rotary specific, or just wrong, CHIME IN!!
