I paid $750 to get my 20B shipped from N. Carolina to the SFO airport and
picked it up at the loading dock.

I found that asking the shipper for suggestions as to how to lower the cost
to be beneficial. I was shipping a Lyc IO-360 from CA to PA. The original
quote was around ~$500. After asking for alternatives the shipper asked if
I would accept "Ship when space available". The new quote was $185 and the
engine made it to the buyer in four days. I did deliver the engine/crate to
the shippers dock and there was no guarantee on delivery date.
