Well, it turns out the seal between the injector bottom half and the manifold was not all what it should be either {:>). My idle speed did come down after I fixed both leaks - but, if your injectors are sealed air tight in their boss then you can probably discount the upper "O" rings as a source.

So I don't go crazy (er), how did you find the leak, Ed. The fuel was on the inside of the manifold? How could the fuel get from the top of the injector to the inside of the manifold?
