Thanks for the comments, Tracy.  I do indeed have mismatched EGTs.  Rotor 1 is running at 1800 or a little higher and rotor 2 is running at 1700, lean, 60% power.  Rotor 2 is consistently 100 or more degrees cooler than rotor 1.  While the upper temperatures may be OK, the Mistral ECU reports a critical condition and drives me nuts.  But, the mismatch is the concern.  I get a warning indication at about 1700 and a critical indication at ~1780.  I do not have a variable mixture control.  All I have is a rich/lean momentary switch.  So, only two conditions.  But the lean condition always increases the EGTs by a good 100 degrees.  My exhaust is also 321 SS, .065 wall.  So, I'm not worried about that.  Best Regards,

Steve Thomas

Hi Steve,
When you say your EGTs are too high, what do you consider too hot?   When at WOT on takeoff mine run 1840 F which sounds high but after 1800+ hours I'm convinced that this isn't too hot.   In cruise I lean it down to as low as 1520.   My exhaust system is 321 SS, nothing exotic.

If your EGT problem is due to a clogged injector it will be obvious by very mis-matched EGTs.  Unless of course you have two partly clogged injectors which is very unlikely. BTW, do you have a manual mixture control on the Mistral system?
