It may be what you are looking for.  I have the 35-amp version installed in my Mustang II (with Turbo Rotary 13B) as a back-up to the stock 60-amp alternator, and it seems to work just fine.

While looking for permanent magnet alternators, I came across this site. Some 40 amp and under $100.00.

 

Plus the brands they are used on. (Applications) and regulators.

 

I am looking for a 20-30 amp used on Formula Atlantic cars. Off of a lawn mower I was told.
