Thanks for the confirmation. I don't recall using any sealant on it
during re-assembly (I may have, I just don't recall for certain). If it
is in fact leaking, I guess that means that I'll be pulling the gearbox,
flywheel, counterweight and bearing carrier. Or, is it possible to
remove the six bolts and slide it out a 1/2" and, using a small brush, work
some Permatex into the gap, then re-assemble? This would be without
removing the "BIG NUT".

Now that is hopeful.
I think not. I use a Chinese 1/2" impact gun, and that nut flies off.
I put it back on with that gun as well. With one drop of red Locktite.
I keep it on until there is no more movement to the nut. 300 to 400 foot
pounds is all you need.
