I hate that you went to that much trouble, but I really appreciate it.

When I called Van's yesterday, their tech guy basically said that they don't have that dimension; they just put the motor up there 'where it looked about right' & built the mount to it. He scaled it off an RV-6 drawing & came up with 4 3/8".

Apparently, this is basically one of those 'get it in the general area' kind of situations.

Are you using the stock Van's cowl? What's your firewall-to-prop flange distance?
