Subject: [FlyRotary] Single rotor update

Final single rotor configuration:

- Rotor housing/rotor is MAZDA 12A
- Intake, P-Port with 23.5" runner length
- Carburetor, 38mm round slide.
- Ignition, Street Fire MSD triggered with RX8 CAS.
- Redrive, Hirth G40, 3.33 : 1
- Alternator, Kubota after market with regulator.
- Muffler, 5" diameter 12" long tangential input with 1.18" ID exit pipe.

Shake down testing is going well. No problems so far after 30Min runtime. Most of it at 6000RPM static with WOT. Load is a 3blade 72" IVO prop. Exhaust noise seems to have less high frequency components then the previous engine. I have no problem with putting this muffler on the air plane.

I still plan to go through a range of loads from about 3500RPM to 7500, all at WOT.

I will keep you posted.
