Richard,
All I remember is that it does a lot better job of  controlling the amount of oil that is sent to the rotors i.e. less pollutants. What your saying seems to make sense, as to how it's done.

do you have details about how it works? From the limited info i got, it seems to relay on the engine oil pressure being controled by two solenoid valves.

Does anyone out there have a 2009 or 2010 Renesis and is not using the EOMP's? The EOMP is the successor of the oil metering pump on the previous models.
 
I would buy it for a reasonable price.
