Joe,
Yes !! I believe you found your rotors to be the 86 to 88+ (cast combustion
depresson) a while back if I remember correctly.................

Subject: [FlyRotary] 4140 Chrome Moly Rear Counterweights

Joe,
Actually the 86 to early 89 were the same then 89 to 95 were for the same weight
rotors (last year the 3rd generation RX7 was imported to the US although it was produced in Japan until about 2002).

The way to tell if a 89 engine is early or late production is to check the combustion
dish (depression) of the rotor.........If it is rough (as cast) uses the 86 to early 89 counterweight.

If the the combustion dish is smooth (machined) it is a late 89 to 95 rotor and uses
89 to 95 counterweight.

The Renesis rotors are a different weight and uses the appropriate counterweight.

Also the compression ratio of a given year model rotor makes no difference as the
NA or Turbo rotors are the same weight.

Hope this helps,

I thought that the 86 to 88 was one weight 89 to 92 another and 93 to 95 another weight.
Looking for a  88 rear counterweight,
