My opinion -  you want sump drain and screen – means of getting out any water or larger debris before the pump with minimal flow resistance; fine filter (10-15 micron) after the pump.

After the fuel pumps. I have two fuel pumps, and I figure that they are less susceptible to clogging than the injectors. Why? Does this raise any flags?
