Bill,
its a matter of wiring up a double pole double throw switch. theres nothing special about the later ECU's versus the early ECU's in this regard. One pole of the DPDT triggers the injector, the other pole does the cold start function. You could retrofit this feature with a new switch and one extra wire run.

If wired according to the manual; when one set of injectors is
turned off, the pulse width to the other is AUTOMATICALLY doubled.
It does not require switching the cold start switch.
