Chris,

Still working on the fuselage.   Finally wrapping the boot cowl with aluminum.  Irony is I never both deburring intial cuts in aluminum, as I had yet to been cut.  So inital cut, fit up, trim, fit, trim, fit, then final filing/sanding.   Why bother deburring with all that fitting and trimming going on.

Well that nice spring sheet of 2024-T3 took the skin right off the back of my knuckle. Nice dime size skin  removal. No sooner had I said ouch, but the bloody aluminum skin slipped in my hand slicing through to fingers. Super glue works in that case, then yet another cut.

Irony is I am super careful around steel and stainless steel (shavings are like razors), but with aluminum let my guard down.

Went back to print out Dynon pictures to tape to the instrument panel. Thankfully no paper cuts.

Still haven't gotten anything firewall forward, but feels good to make progress.    As soon as I start slacking off, Dennis has his RV7 out and having fun....  so back to work!

Bearhawk builder, suspect the 16X will be out for a few years by the time I need an engine! :)
