I was on both lists for several years. Left both
when I changed jobs. Came back to this one several years laterwhen I was getting
close to first flight and working through the tuning issues. Didnt bother
rejoining the other one. Like John said, this list is for the doers, that one
for the guys with unproven theories.
PL is clearly a smart guy. If you can get past the
ego. I've gotten some valuable input from him in the past. You just need to use
your own brain and filter all the input. I did get a nice private email from him
congratulating me on my first flight back in February. Somebody here must have
let him know it happened.

You're welcome Bernie. The archives of this list will attest to
similar sentiments by others over the years. In fact I think this list started
because plugs up couldn't be done, even though Ed was flying plugs up
:)
Rather than suffer the ego and try to separate wheat from chaff (or
bias) in every post, as Chris apparently still does, I resigned from the
"other" list many years ago - probably just before I was kicked out. :) I was
witness to some very rude heckling by PL of an excellent presentation from Ed
Anderson at Shady Bend a few years ago. That, heavy post moderation - even
alteration, and evidence of flying electric water pumps that "can't
work" plus other incorrect info pretty much killed my interest in PL theories.
It seems that not much has changed over there, including the failure
of the list (or should I call it a blog) owner to actually FLY anything he
spouts about.
Here you tend to find "doers" rather than
"talkers"

I have to rethink some things now that others
offered but got shot down in flames by this guy. Fatal flaw if you can only
build your own self-esteem by devaluing or destroying the self-esteem of
others.
When I get mad, sometimes I can't present things properly, so
thanks for helping me with the clarification I needed. 'Nuff said, back to
enjoying what we love to do on this list, and enjoying each others'
