Jeff, I went back and check my emails and apparently the latest photo I have
is the 15 July photo you used.  I don't think I ever got any photos of you
manometer readings after you moved the position of the probes - if I did, I
can not find them.

Yes, that's true Ed - my post did say "sample manometer" ... the photo is an
old one that was measuring only outlet pressure relative to static pressure
- note the right up-tubes are open to cabin. Actually Ed you may have a more
recent picture available, the info I've sent you while on vacation is not
available here at work - if you have the latest one, you can post it for me,
otherwise I'll have to forward it from home and re-post tomorrow.

Jeff, I realize that the photo may not correlate with your words about the
radiator showing 4" H20 and the oil cooler zero.  But, looking at the photo,
it's the "U" labeled "Oil Cooler" that is showing a pressure differential
and the radiator showing little or none.  An older photo??

I presume this photo does not go with the words of your finding??

Hi Bill, not sure why your installation won't cool but I'm going through the
same problem ... my water radiator installation is working quite well, but
the oil cooler installation is not too good. I did a lot of trial and error
then finally decided that instrumentation was needed. I made myself a simple
manometer to measure differential pressure across my cores. As it turns out,
the radiator installation has about 4" of differential pressure on the
ground at WOT; however, my oil cooler indication was ZERO differential
pressure under same conditions.
My suggestion is make some measurements ... a manometer is a tube with
colored water in it with a U-Bend to trap the fluid; run one end of tube to
a location infront of core center and the other end to a location behind
core center ... this will tell you a lot that you simply cannot guess. ...
attached is a sample picture of a manometer.

Not bad, Earnest, not bad!  :>)
What my install really needs right now is for me to quit breathlessly
waiting for the next T-shirt idea and get out to the airport and start
working on my plane!!

Have you tried removing the jacket and letting your install run around in a
t-shirt?

Sorry.  Couldn't resist.
