Gents,
I am at a total loss!
Bruce Terrentine just rebuilt my Renesis, I hooked everything up, did all
the tuning for the EC2, and started the high power runs to get the one hour
max throttle time before the first flight. I'm 35 minutes into it (5 -
10 min at a time for temperature), and the engine went from 4860 static RPM
at WOT to 4600. At that time, I still had good oil pressure, fuel
pressure and mixture reading was good. I throttled back to idle and
shut it down. As I throttled back, the oil pressure went from high 60s
to 36 and the mixture reading went from 8-9 bars on the EM2 to 1 bar.
After I got out of the plane, my father who was watching the run, said I had
about 8 inches of flames shooting out the exhaust during the entire high
power run.
I don't even know where to start, or how to fix this.
To add to the problem, I am supposed to move from Leesville, LA to
Fayetteville, NC on 24 July. I really don't want to have to pull the
wings and trailer the plane.
My first call was to Tracy, but he is out of touch until the 23rd, so no
help there. Is there anyone with enough experience and time to
help? Anyone close enough to Leesville, LA to make a trip here?
Feel free to call 337-208-8053 or email me direct candtmallory@cebridge.net
I'm really desperate!
