Gentleman, thanks for your input on the
Weber. I will reset the float and increase the fuel pressure to 3.5 lbs.
The Weber may not make it as a backup failure mode, as all the fuel is sucked
out, using it as a throttle body, leaving all the synthetic parts and seals dry
and hot when not in use.
I will have the plane out this weekend,
install wings and weigh for inspection and get a chance to really rev it
up. The engine has 3.1 hrs on it now and has been run to 3,000 rpm on the
EC-2 with the fuel injection, temperatures look good on long periods of running
and idling. Monday evening with the temperature here at 54 degrees, the
water temp. never went over 140 and the oil didn't move above 110 degrees with
the cowling off and .3 hour of run time. I may be living in fool's
paradise, not having all the issues with the EC-2 and the wiring, only tach, but
so far the EC-2 manual seems to coving all the tuning issues. JohnD
