I had a chance to get the plane out of the garage
tonight and check the tach. The first start revealed that the tach,
manifold pressure and the mixture gauges were all not working. The 2 amp
fuse had failed, so after replacement, all the gauges worked. The new tach
from UMA is looking fine. The engine has 3.1 hours on it now and running
it tied to the garage I have had it up to 3000 rpm. Tomorrow I hope to get
the wings on and do my test running away from the buildings and anchored on
heavy sod, already had to repair some stone damage on the prop.
Glad to hear that all had a great time at the Texas
Rotary Roundup and that Al's misfortune turned out to be an incident and not a
full blown disaster. JohnD
