Tracy,
My email "send" has been down, but I think I may
finally have it back. This is my first test of the "fix"
Just a heads up, as we discussed several weeks ago
on the phone, I am sending my EM2 and EC2 back for repair/update. I am most
concerned about the PCM as I broke a "trace" on it and my program knob has been
"belly-up".
I think it arrived yesterday to FL, but I think due
to the insurance I placed on it, it requires a signature.
I got the latest build running before I sent the
stuff back but I figure there is not a lot of point trying to tune if I can't
"tune" <g>
On that note, the new build is cooling much better
with the big 'ol radiator/heat exchanger with a big 'ol fan and more direct
ducting. The new radiator is just a hair larger than John Slade's and
slightly smaller than Dave Leonards. Luckily the Velocity SE's size gives
me a bit or wiggle room. FWIW.
All the best,
Chris Barber
Houston

Start - EC2 Next Steps?
Actually that order (for piston engines)
is: Mode 3, 2, 1 then auto tune.
Rotary engines go : Mode
3,6,2,1 then auto tune.
What was the date of last update or
service? Might be able to tell about the snubber update from
that.

Tracy,

. If you have the new mode 2 (injection dynamic range), do that BEFORE
mode 1 or 9 or autoprogram. <<
I'm at work, don't know what
version I have. Where do I find that? I'm thinking the front of my
paper manuals have that written on it. Is there a function on the
EC2/EM2 that displays the version?
I think I do remember reading
about Mode 2 in my manual, but I'll have to check.
Snubber?
Never heard of that. Please enlighten.
So are you suggesting an order
of:
Mode 2 Mode 3 Mode 9 Mode 1
Thanks,
