Thanks to all for the congratulatory messages, in answer to Al's question below, it was about 63*F OAT, so I don't feel that all of the cooling issues are necessarily put to bed.
 
More testing will tell.

oil temp peaked at 210 into the engine during climb and water at 188.  Air through the radiator is heated 100*F .

Way to go; Bill!!  You obviously did your homework – great to see successful cooling first time up.  What was OAT?
