If the pinhole is in parallel with the fuel pressure regulator, then it
would not affect the placement of the fuel pressure sensor. Eggenfeller
recommends (requires?) such a parallel restriction on their installations.
The idea, as I understand it, is to allow at least some flow at very low
pressures which enables purging the system if the fuel pump has vapor or air
in it. This is intended to reduce the likelihood of vapor lock. I don't
know if this is the arrangement in the Mistral system, though.

Right. I think the sensor has to be before that pinhole.

(PS - that Mistral pinhole idea has always struck me as strange - isn't that what the fuel regulator is for, or does it replace it?)

Chris,
Doesn't that mistral intake manifold have some sort of restrictor on the fuel output from the rail?
If so, you need the sensor on the rail side of this.
