You are correct.  My housing is non turbo, however the engine is assembled therefore I will not be using this port for my oil supply to my re-drive although this is a very good spot.  Thanks for all you input.

remove it, and did you have to tap it and for what size?

I've always used turbo housings, and mine have always been threaded.  I
assume your housings are non-turbo?  Assuming the engine isn't together, I'm
sure you could open that port up, and tap the hole, but I've never done it,
so I don't know the best method or tap size.  Rusty
