The 10mm X 1.25 (or 1.50 cannot remember for
sure) bolts that fasten the
torgue converter to the flexplate of a Mazda automatic
transmission are just
the correct length (with a copper washer from OMP
nozzles) to plug the
rotor housing ports........Or shorten standard 10mm
bolt to about 1/2 inch
of thread length (Make sure bolt does not bottom out
before sealing)..........
FWIW
I took a look at it yesterday, and it
makes sense to replace the banjo bolt with a regular bolt and seal washer.
But I just don’t happen to have any torque converter to flexplate bolts
lying aroundJ. I can get some 10 mm x 1.5 x 12 mm long at McMaster-Carr,
but I’ll double check the thread pitch; unless you happen to recall, Mark.
Thanks,
Al
