Regarding your question, Doug.
Out the aluminum front housing by the oil pump and into the
fitting on the rear housing (next to flywheel).

can someone illuminate me with a needed morsel of truth...namely what is the
oil flow pattern out of and into a 1988 13B? Out by the pump
and in by the plugs/PSRU or visa versa?
