I have been told that if I reroute my oil system by tapping into the front oil galley and eliminating the 2 - 90 deg. turns the oil makes going to the front housing I could achieve a 10 + deg drop in oil temp. due to higher oil flow and less friction.  This mod. involves tapping into the oil galley on the the side-iron that has the oil pump mounted on it. I am ready to try try this in the next few days.  Mark Steitle had modified his 20 B but does not have any test data on how well it worked.

Does anyone have experience with oil temperatures before and after the modification?

Thanks,
Dennis H.
