Looks Good! John.

I think just about everybody approaches their first engine start with breath held - its a big moment.  Its really a great morale boost just to have it fire right off on the first try - but, as you know that does not always happen.  Also make certain you have a load on that engine - zero to 13,000 rpm in a second has scattered drive train components around garage - so put that prop on for safety sake.

Nice job on the diffusers - look better than mine - are you going to go into business making them?

Cut glass this morning and laid up the extension on bottom cowl for exhaust pipe,  also glassed the diffusers, via, Eds dimensions, if you can get a fist in the opening, its about right.  With all the shaping and sanding, this project has taken all week.  I was hoping to get the fuel, and vacuum lines run to the EC-2 and the engine started.  I'm thrilled that I am almost to the engine start, but also apprehensive, as I haven't keep up on anything automotive since the 70's,  and with Ed mentioning the Gremlins and there is also Murphy, get the jist.  When we push the button next week, we will Know.
Since the project is in the garage, I can't just roll it out and back in, as the tail is to high on the trike, so when it goes out, it will need the wings and inspection.  JohnD ........here are some pictures for Lynn and yes first start will be on the Weber 48.
