Did you enclose it or did you take the air from inside the cowl?  I am wanting to put the filter inside the ram air tube from the front of the cowl to the throttle body.  Building an enclosure around it makes it get pretty large and that makes me need to move it to a location inside the cowl that causes a fairly convoluted run of tubing.....sigh...

I am really open to suggestions...

Hi Bill,

I used the K&N RR-2803 because it fit my throttle body and allowed air
in thru the sides and center. I don't see anything on K&N's site that
tells me it's area, but it seemed to work OK. I had it pointing
straight to the front. It's 5.875" OD at the base, 5.25" OD at the top,
and 5" high and fits a 2.75" throttle body.
