Dennis, I used several different tools - none of which are really all that great - but they permit me to turn it into a jpg format which everybody can read.

I use/have used

1.  MS Word, it has a drawing tool bar with shapes, colors and arrow.  A bit hard to draw curves free hand so I use a number of overlapping oval or circle to get the out line and then use that as a guide to use one of the freehand curve functions to trace its outline. Similarly on the others.   I then copy the MS figure and drop it into Irfanview or Paint.  irfanview  is worth getting for sizing images and its free. search on the net.

2.  Paint is not bad, just clumsy for many things, but saves to jpg.format.

3. Power point (I used to draw the Diverter sketch) is not bad and is easy to save to Jpg format.

You just have to experiment with those tools a bit - there may be others that are better, I just don't have any {:>)

Ed:

Thanks for the ideas and Figures.  I agree that having the diverter plate at the opening can cause lots of tubulance - expecially in climb. I have removed the plate and am waiting for the rain to quit so I can test fly it again.  If it is back to marginal but workable cooling I'll try another mod.
I'm interested in drawing on pictures and also sketching the duct so I can send more information to the group.  How do you draw on pictures?
I'm using Windows XP but don't have much experience with it.  Pictures of the inside of the duct have proven hard to take and show any good information.
