My RD-1C on my Renesis also runs quite hot.  I have been wordering if this is normal.  I don't have a temp measurment on it at this time.

This is a bit higher than I was previously seeing. I use an EGT TC to monitor the temp, and recently changed from an ‘ungrounded’ to ‘grounded’ TC connection/configuration; which could account for the difference.
