If reseating the connector doesn’t help, it may be good to check the ground continuity between the EC2 and the airframe ground.  It is possible that the amount of current needed to trigger the ignition coils is significantly less than that needed to operate an injector.  I don’t know how much current the ignition coil signal takes, but each injector takes about 2 amps.  To be certain the ground is good, one may need to check all the way to the ground plane on the EC2 board.
