Ed, Do you think it may have something to do with the new wiring that  eliminates the powering the EC thru the injector switches?

The blinking NOP tells you that the EC2 is not powered up; so check the EC2
power wiring.  I suppose it is possible that you have been running the EC2
powered via the injector power.
