All the work on a single rotor, I dont know why one of these wouldnt work. They're 500cc which about the same as a 12a rotor. And that intake port looks like a great idea. I'd bet it would be lighter than a single rotor mazda. Plus already have an alternator built in, a small starter. At one time, 6 years ago or so I think, you could buy these new from suzuki for $1000.00

I'd be real interested in these if they were available.  My understanding is that they've been out of production for about 30 years, and parts are really hard to find.  I've never looked that closely into them, but believe I heard some other problems with them.  I think the PP design is cool.  Looks like they have two small fixed ports that are high (later timing) on the housing.  The big port has a butterfly that opens when needed for high speed, and when overlap can be tolerated.  Cool. 
 
After I sent the last message, I started thinking that it would make a cool motorcycle project if I ever wanted such a thing.
