Ah! You are a man of vision, Richard.  What can I do to help you make that first flight in October 2007?   Just, I understand you have one goal to accomplish before undertaking another major one.  Really Impressive!

Ed,

I already have a plan for your request because I knew it was coming. I start on that as soon as I come home from my first flight in the Rotary AVID to Shady Bend.
Hope it makes sense.

Thanks Ed.

Beautiful work, Richard

Now, when are you going to turn to the two rotor version? {:>)  It would make a nice Christmas present for 2007.

Seriously, a lightweight single rotor would find a lot of applications  knocking the weight in half is remarkable.

The compound side housing, power-take-off end, is getting ready to be installed and tested. Machining was almost a nightmare, considered the available means. But, I think it is good enough for the intended use.
Testing will be for function first, and running heat cycle second. This is to make sure there is no flaw needing a redesign of the basic idea.
Once the first tests are successfully completed, work on the waterpump-side housing will start.
The compound housing as shown in the picture is 15lb. vc 32lb of the stock housing.
