Bill, I followed Lyn Hanover's advise ti use the widest passages possible to slow down the velocity of the blow by gasses. That gives more time and more chance of oil droplets do settle back inside the engine. I just installed a 5/16 90 degree fitting in the middle of my oil filler cap, and have not seen any oil yet. I don;t see why do you need a PCV valve?

Has anyone tried installing a positive crankcase ventilation valve on
their flying engine?  If so, how did you hook it up?  How much blowby
gets into the crankcase on a rotary?
