Greetings all,

I am confused. Hopefully the answers to this query will help me and those viewing this list.

I am considering a Rotary and am using this list as one of the sources of knowledge to give me information and to dissuade me from going over to the dark side (piston type) I am aware that there are various PRSUs, ignition systems, fuel delivery systems, radiator types, additionally, the engine used are new and used Renesis, 13-B which have either been rebuilt or not, high time, or not. etc, etc.

Therefore when someone lists a problem or success that he/she is having with their engine, unless one has personal knowledge of the conglomeration of parts that that specific person is using, conclusions, and possibly actions, based on this information are so general as to be almost useless in the specific.

Multiple times when a posting is made the next one is a question, " what kind of ### are you using?"

A well or poorly functioning engine is no more a collection of parts than a human body is a collection of hearts, livers and brains. All of the engine components must not only work, themselves, but must work in concert with the others to produce a mechanism that has the desired outcome and does not destroy itself in the process.

The postings are great, however I would like to make a request to make their stories much more meaningful:

It would be great if at the end of the post, possibly with the signature, a description of the unit to which the post refers.

This will not only help those searching for the "perfect combination" but may possibly help illuminate specific problems that particular components or combination of components have.

Just something to consider.
