Steve, I have cut off switches on my pumps and I shut the engine by 
shutting the fuel pumps off. The strange thing is that once it 
sputters, I have to give it a boost with the cold start, or it will 
die again? Maybe I have to install the bypass fuel bleed circuit? all 
my injectors are uphill and any fuel leaking, will go in the engine.

If you have the possibility of any trapped air using the bypass bleed makes sense. It is easy to boil off the fuel left in the rail from heat soak after you shut down the engine.
