Based
on your information, perhaps the lower compression rotors wouldn't make
as
much difference as I thought it would, unless the impact on a rotary is
different
than that of a piston engine.
It is a bit different;
although based on Mazda data, above about 6000 rpm you won’t know the difference
between 9.0 and 9.7 ratios. At 5200 I estimated the difference at about
4%.
