Thanx George.  I’ll check that out. I know it’s shielded from the PTT switch to within about 8” of the intercom – but not shielded from there to & through the intercom and then out to the radio.

Joe,

I had the exact same problem on my EZ, after installing that radio.
It seems that the PTT and the mic share a common ground pin.
I had used sheilded wire for the microphone, but not the ptt.

I rewired the ptt using a sheilded cable and that solved the problem.
