I removed the original automatic transmission gear box from the bellhousing and replaced it with my new mounting plate. So everything was centered as the original transmission gear box. All the mounting bolt holes were match drilled. With the extra long shaft, .027 will give quite difference at both ends of the shaft. I don't see anything else to check? Buly
It may be that I am not seeing this clearly, but, I put a magnetic based dial indicator on the counterweight and run it on the pilot hole in the plate or bell housing, while turning the crank. You can get the concentricity down under .010" just by tapping the plate or bellhousing around without the alignment dowels in place. Lynn E. Hanover
