Just oil level. It's a simple ground when level is low.

I will throw in a couple of points of concern with the  RX8 oil pan.

1. Being low profile the oil level is quite high ( in the engine) compared
to the RX7.
2. Oil level in the RX7 is at the juncture of oil pan and engine.
3.Changing the depth of the oil pan in the RX8 requires changing the oil
pick up depth and oil level sensor.
4. François Badoutx (Mistral) found oil pump cavitation, in certain
circumstances ( he suggested RPM), however other sources suggest that
cavitation can be caused with excess oil i.e. oil beyond the level
recommended, indicating to me there is some sensitivity to the position of
the oil pick up.
Points to consider IMHO.
