Have you looked at the EC2 MAP table up at the high end using the EM2?   Make sure that there are no holes in the table up at that point.  I would suggest putting the EM2 in map display and invoke Track Mode so that the display follows where the engine is actually running.

Subject: [FlyRotary] Turbo Surge?

I think I experienced a small amount of turbo surge during my last flight. It was only evident when MAP was between ~ 0 & 0.5 psi boost. A small change in throttle position in either direction would eliminate it. It sounded & acted almost identical to the way that the engine would previously act when positioned precisely at the injector staging point. But my staging point is at ~ 18"Hg and I have that well tuned now so as not to cause a problem.
So  my question is aimed at those with greater knowledge and experience in this area. What exactly does turbo surge feel like? What are the symptoms? Is it likely that what I was experiencing was just tuning related? I do have the TurboSmart electronic boost controller, but since I hadn't played with it since last year, I didn't want to make any adjustments without taking another look at the instruction book again, but I doubt that it was related.
