Tracy,
Now that you've flown the
Renesis for a while, what do you calculate the HP to be in real life?
And YES, you
know why I'm asking :-)
As fate would have it, I
found out today that there's a nearly untouched, complete, RV-8 kit in the row
of hangers next to mine, and it's for sale. If it's noticeably below the
price of a new kit, I'll have to get it. I haven't hear from the owner
yet, and I almost hope it's not a bargain, because I'd really rather have a
quickbuild. I've built about 2.5 RV's now, and think I've had all the
education I can stand when it comes to the drill, deburr, dimple, rivet,
repeat routine. I also talked to Van's, and they have a new shipment of
QB RV-8's coming in Dec.
Cheers,
Rusty (See Ed, I told
you)
PS- George, How's the
Rupert supply of Renesis engines holding up?
Rusty,
Rupert is a really nice
chap ( Irish I think) although very much the business man - he's complaining
their not going fast enough. I suppose because he had to outlay for about 40
of them, I think he's down to a little under a half.
I asked him if he would
be able to get anymore of them when he sells this lot - he's not
hopeful. I think he also feels they go too slowly.
So I guess what I'm
saying is get in and get it while it going so cheap! I don't believe there
will be another lot going at this price.
