I don't think he was quite to that point - but very close.  He had a casting of the metal insert for the wear surface of the side housing and the mold for the aluminum casting that the insert would bolt to.  Looks like he had solved the coolant sealing challenge between the insert and the aluminum plate.  Sort of nice in that if the wearing surface becomes too worn to redo - simply unbolt it and bolt in a new one.

Are you working toward producing these for sale?  Do you know when you'll be up and running with the new housings? 
 
There are a few planes that can accept a single rotor as is, but I think we're going to need aluminum housings to ever make it into the mainstream.  I had always hoped Racing Beat would finally get theirs done, but I've all but given up hope on them now.
